Problem and Solution
The client, an instructional design instructor at a university, contacted me because they wanted a supplement for the ADDIE module in their course.
The instructor teaches the ADDIE model in the beginning of their class and uses it as the foundation for the remainder of the course. They found that the students do better in their course when students grasp each of the components of ADDIE.
I proposed an interactive mini-course that would allow students to refresh their knowledge of each component, practice what they’ve learned, and take a short quiz to test their understanding of the information with real world situations.
Process
I approached this project by first creating an action map with guidance from the instructor (SME). The action map was used to develop my text-based storyboard.
After creating the storyboard, I began working on a prototype in Microsoft Powerpoint.
When the client gave feedback on the prototype, I completed the project in Storyline, making adjustments where requested.
